Bzz, I tried from 0 to 180, nothing works. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. It seems to work about 50% of the time with HP's faxback service (1-800-231-9300 ask for a few indexes). Then if it quits working and giving me the RTC not received message on every page, it sometimes carries over to the next inbound fax, even if it is not from HP. Sometimes it starts right after the first page, sometimes it takes several for it to start. There is no abnormal delay between pages when it gives that message. I am using a USR Courier Analogue x2 external. This problem is important, I need to start receiving faxes reliably again. Contact me privately if you need more info. A few smaller minor problems please answer when you have the time: I've been getting a bad scan line at the top of about half of the pages, on one of the first few lines. I know that a bad line is expected occasionally, but not in such a reglar place and frequency. Also, where does the header of inbound fax come from? When I receive a fax, I never gave my company name "Mnemonic Oubliette" to them, but on the header it comes in misspelled each time as "Mnemonic Oublitt" I use FrontDoor: Init-1 ATZ| Init-2 AT+FCLASS=2.0| Init-3 AT+FLI="Mnemonic Oubliette"| Could that be it? It's spelled correctly there. Or somewhere else? Last thing, just bugging you again (for the second year, now registered) to add "odd and even" page printing for people to flip the pages over easily, printing the odd first then the even. The even pages could be printed in reverse order, so that we wouldn't have to reorder the stack of paper... Anyone else like this paper-saving idea? I've used BGFax for at least 2 years and have never had a problem with letters. If the receiver is using a old crummy machine, the ID just looks like garbage and the fax is unaffected. The misspelling is consistant, like I mistyped it somewhere but I can't find it for the life of me. Thanks though. --- {Mnemonic Oubliette} --- * Origin: +1 918 455 5806 BBS/FAX, 64000bps, Broken Arrow, OK, 0 (1:170/853)

Sometimes it works, sometimes not You have a couple of other options: 1. Switch to a Class 1 configuration. This might be helpful. Call me voice at 281-893-9320 and I'll help you make this change. It's fairly detailed, too much to explain in a message. For this to work, you'll need to be using a FOSSIL driver if you are using FD. 2. Get a different modem, such as the "SupraFaxModem 33600" 3. Use BGFAX in /HOST mode and no longer use continuous Fido mail. > It seems to work about 50% of the time with HP's faxback service > (1-800-231-9300 ask for a few indexes). Sometimes it starts right after Since you've tried all kinds of different +FCO values, it appears that your system just isn't time-stable enough for rear-end operation with this modem in Class 2.0 mode. > Last thing, just bugging you again (for the second year, now registered) to > add "odd and even" page printing for people to flip the pages over easily, > printing the odd first then the even. I've only had you, and maybe one other person strongly request this. Haven't had time to look into the feasibility of it yet. Regards, bgfax author
