From: Sean Rima To: All Thread: BGFax32 and Printing (1/6) Date: 09-Jul-97, 11:56pm (Ref# 5502) I know this came up before, but I just lost my entire message base and cannot remember if a solution was found. I downloaded the new beta and when I try to print a fax, I get a page full of rubbish using the view. I have tried both the HP and Epson settings to no avail. I have a HP Deskjet. One option that might be nice is for BGFax to have a command paramentor which would print a fax on completion. I don't use any batch files so I would need a work around. The setting I use for HP 682C is: view /P42 /DB /RF /RH BGFax, not View, does have a setting to printing immediately. It is shown in BGFAX.DOC: -------------------------8<------------------------ :faxrcvd rem ***** You can auto-print every fax, see docs for info on EX call %bgfax%\doprint.bat del %bgfax%\doprint.bat fbbs.bat -------------------------8<------------------------ Search for DOPRINT.BAT in that file for more info. also. I only had that in for a day, then took it out: I do not want to dedicate my printer to FAX. Usually I have normal, clean paper in my printer, but since I'm cheap I have a stack of paper used on one side for draft work. I also print postcards, labels, etc. I am very apt to leave in the last paper I used and I didn't want my printer printing at odd times of the day or night on whatever paper was there - or even at all. Since I have both the BBS and my personal computer connected to the printer, a FAX can be printed between 2 pages of labels from mine. Not desirable! I don't get that many FAXes, 29 so far this year. The FAX light in the upper left corner of the BBS screen is sufficient to tell me a FAX has arrived and I can print it at that time, if needed. If I had a second printer I could dedicate for the job, I'd leave it in. If you really want it and can't make it work, I'd suggest a message directly to B.G. crying for help! *:o) FIDO: Bill White @ 1:135/110 (Miami) InterNet: bill.white@110.sunshine.com * SLMR 2.1a * Remember that a good example is the best sermon! --- Maximus 2.01wb * Origin: Miami Amateur Computer Club BBS/USR Courier V.E (1:135/110)

Yeah, always got a stack of paper with old manuals etc printed on one side. Only put in clean paper for those that I know are important. BW> I don't get that many FAXes, 29 so far this year. Try using an older version and let me know if the old version works or if it too spits garbage out. Did you change printers or printer drivers (in Windows)? Regards, bgfax author
