From: Kevin Bentz To: All Thread: Help! (1/9) Date: 18-Sep-97, 9:32pm (Ref# 5734) I'm trying (very unsuccessfully) to set up BGFAX 1.70. It seems to work for sending from the command line, but as for receiving.... I'm running FrontDoor 2.20cML under Windows95 using WinFossil 1.12.004. If I get it to work at all (for receiving) I get a "Modem/BGFAX DTE speed mismatch" error. I've tried every possible combination of the command line: BGFAX /fax k:\fd\bgfax\incoming 1 z ^ ^ Tried f1, 1!, f1! also, and tried putting in the /DTE:38400 switch with each one of these also. If anyone can help, I'd REALLY appreciate it! Thanks in advance! --Kevin --- GEcho/32 1.20/Pro * Origin: * The Red Eye BBS * Southgate, MI * (313) 281-8141 * (1:2410/213)

KB> Well, that's not what I wanted to hear... ;-) Not precisely what I wanted to do either, since I regd it. :-( KB> But is there a way to make it work *using* WinFossil? It appears not. I tried everything I could think of. BJ Guillott tested it, and found that WNFOSCTL doesn't unlock the port and let BGFAX use it. Some systems are not finding any problems, but generally speaking, most do, and like me, they have gone to another FOSSIL. I only wish I could find out the common denominator that allows these few systems to use it, but alas I'm not getting enough information to hit on it.
