From: Daniel Mueller To: All Thread: Installing BGFAX into ProBoard (1/2) Date: 18-Jul-97, 3:37am (Ref# 5539) Is there anyone who could help in installing BGFAX into ProBoard Ver 2.16? I DON'T WANT to use the SHELL TO MAILER MODE! and I have a USR Modem v.EVERYTHING I thought that since PB and RemoteAccess are so closely related I could use the docs from that but it uses the Shell To Mailer Mode (which I don't want) So I peeked into the FD-USR.TXT file and used that for the INIT strings I was wondering if there is anything else I would need to set it up. I run 2.15, and there ain't no such menu choice that I can find. DM> So I peeked into the FD-USR.TXT file and used that for the INIT strings Good idea. DM> I was wondering if there is anything else I would need to set it up. Assuming FrontDoor (from your tagline): 1) Go to FrontDoor Configuration. 2) Under Modem => Connect Messages, be sure that the Fax response is set for what your modem issues as a connect string. This will let FrontDoor recognize a fax call when itcomes in. 3) Under Mailer => Errorlevels, set up a unique errorlevel for fax calls. 4) In your batch file, trap the errorlevel from 3, above. Use it to GOTO a section to unlock your fossil, handle the incoming fax, and then GOTO the start of the mailer action. Works for me (or it did when I set it up...I only receive about two faxes a year).
