From: B.J. Guillot To: All Thread: Class 1.0 modems (1/7) Date: 06-Sep-97, 11:08am (Ref# 5679) Does ANYONE in the USA have one of those freaky 56K modems (not an X2 modem, but that K56 Flex or whatever). If so, from a terminal mode, please type "AT+FCLASS=?" and let me know what it reports. I've been told that the only difference between Class 1 and 1.0 is that you just have to use "AT+FCLASS=1.0" when faxing instead of "AT+FCLASS=1", which seems hard to believe, but that's what I'm told. If someone has one of these modems, let me know, and I might some you some alpha stuff to try just to see if it works (using the simple change), or if the change is significant enough so that I have to go buy one of these modems. Someone from the UK (I think), told me they had one, and if I don't hear anything from anyone in the US, I'll work with him. It's just a little cheaper working in the US. Regards, bgfax author

I just put a new beta of (1.70s), and have added a /C3 switch that attempts to force a Class 1.0 send, so when you get a chance, I'd like you to try sending a fax with the /C3 switch at the end of the command line and tell me what happens.
