  G'day All!

I've just recently connected to this area - greetings everyone :-)
I'm trying to get BGFAX v. 1.55 to work. I've come this far:

FD 2.02 - THE OLD ONE I KNOW but its free - and that's important for me as a
pensioner - and BGFAX communicates fine - when I send a fax to my own system
from a homefax at a neighbour -

FD  detects it OK - exits with defined errorlevel OK -
passes to BGFAX - OK - BGFAX reads the ID strings sent by the fax machine - OK
- but when it comes to the faxsheet itself - STOP - ERRORS -

I just can't get past that point.  Wish you could give me some advice.
Modem is a HORNET legato  14400 / 9600  with a rockwell chipset.
The modem is about two years old - and it functions very reliably.  For DATA
transfers, that is.   For FAX - alas not yet :-(

First thing, upgrade to a more recent version of BGFAX.  1.70 is the
current non-beta version, and even 1.70 is getting old in age (from March
of 1997).

I'll need to see a clip of the BGFAX.LOG if you still encounter this
problem with 1.70.

I hope it can be found without WWW - I don't have access to that - and don't
want it either.   Costs too much in Denmark.   :-(

Alternately, you can get 1.70 from my Fido node by doing a magic file
request of the name "BGFAX" from 1:106/400.  The beta's magic name is
"BGBETA".
